A full synthetic 75W85 gear oil made from polyol ester base stocks for differentials, final drives and transfer cases. It exceeds API GL-5 and has extra friction modifier for clutch-type limited-slip differentials; it was formerly sold as Red Line LightWeight Gear Oil. It is not designed for most manual transmissions or transaxles with synchronizers.
- Used in many late-model BMW, Dodge, Ford, GM, Jeep, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Ram and Toyota vehicles
- Applications: differential oil, final drive oil, gear oil and transfer case fluid
- Contains extra friction modifier for clutch-type limited-slip differentials; most LSDs need no added modifier
- Formerly sold as Red Line LightWeight Gear Oil
- Used in Formula racing transaxles, including Hewland LD-200 and FTR sequential
- Meets the gear-oil viscosity requirements of SAE 75W80, 75W, 80W and 85W, and SAE 30 / SAE 10W30 motor oil
- Fully synthetic polyol ester base stocks with a high viscosity index for steady film thickness across temperatures
- Red Line claims superior shear stability and less oxidation than other synthetic and conventional gear oils
