A high-strength liquid threadlocker for heavy-duty fasteners from 3/8 in. to 1 in. (10 mm to 25 mm), such as cylinder block studs, ring gear bolts and frame bolts. It locks against vibration loosening and is meant to be permanent: cured parts must be heated to 260°C (500°F) before they will separate. For metal parts only; it is not recommended for plastics.
Permatex High-Strength Threadlocker Red is ideal for heavy-duty applications 3/8″ to 1″ (10mm to 25mm) Red threadlocker is well-suited for permanently locking studs and press fits. Threadlocker RED adds 3,000 PSI holding power on slip and press fit assemblies, and replaces set screws and snap rings. Permatex’s Threadlocker Red locks against vibration loosening. May require heat or special tools for removal.

- NOTE: High Strength Threadlocker works on metal parts. It is not recommended for plastics.
- Cured High Strength Threadlocker must be heated to 500°F (260°C) before parts will separate.
- This product is not recommended for use in pure oxygen and/or oxygen rich systems and should not be selected as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials.

Treat rate
Heavy-duty applications 3/8″ to 1″ (10mm to 25mm). For Thru Holes, apply several drops of product onto the bolt at the nut engagement area. For Blind Holes, apply several drops down female threads into the bottom of the hole.
