An automatic transmission fluid on an HC synthetic base, developed for the Mercedes-Benz 9G-Tronic (725.0/1) transmission and approved by Mercedes-Benz on the basis of MB 236.17. It can also be used where MB 236.16 was previously required. It is not downwards-compatible with earlier ATF specifications, and a full fluid change is recommended when switching.
